Diabetic foot

What is it and how can we treat it?

A high-risk or diabetic foot is one that, due to systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus or other conditions, has an increased risk of developing pathologies, wounds or infections compared to the general population.

Patients with diabetes often have elevated blood glucose levels, which can affect circulation and nerve sensitivity in the feet, increasing the likehood of plantar ulcers, deformities and injuries that, if not properly treated, may lead to serious complications.
