Biomechanical gait analysis

The biomechanical gait study involves evaluating the locomotor system through an examination on a treatment couch, assessment in standing posture, and analysis of gait, which allows us to evaluate the relationship between foot strike and its impact on the human body.

This study seeks to establish the connection between the patient’s gait and any associated pathologies that it may be causing—not only in the foot but also in the knee, hip, and the body as a whole.

The ultimate goal is to clarify the causes and effects of each patient’s foot strike and biomechanics on the rest of the body, both to implement treatment and to prevent future injuries and associated pathologies.

Through this study, custom insoles can be prescribed for each foot to help correct and remedy biomechanical deficiencies identified in the patient.
